Tuition & Financial Aid

Refunds & Withdrawals

Understand the financial consequences before dropping a course, withdrawing from a term, or changing enrollment.

Refund schedule reviewed for 2026-2027

Dropping Before Classes Begin

Eligible tuition and refundable fees are generally reversed when a student drops before the published term start. Application, payment-plan enrollment, identification, and certain third-party charges may remain nonrefundable.

Refund Schedule After Classes Start

Refund eligibility is based on the date the official drop or withdrawal is recorded, not the last date of attendance or the date a student stops participating.

How to Withdraw

Students should submit the official schedule-change request through the portal or Student Services and retain confirmation. Speaking with an instructor does not by itself remove a student from enrollment.

Financial Aid Recalculation

Dropping units or withdrawing may reduce financial assistance. If aid already paid institutional charges or was disbursed to the student, recalculation can create a balance that must be repaid.

Payment Plan Adjustments

A withdrawal does not automatically stop scheduled installments. The student account is recalculated after the enrollment change is processed, and remaining payments continue until an updated notice is issued.

Exceptional Circumstances

A student may request review when a documented medical emergency, military obligation, death in the immediate family, or college error prevented timely withdrawal. Approval is not automatic, and academic or financial decisions may be reviewed separately.

Receiving an Approved Refund

Approved refunds are returned according to the original payment source when possible. Processing generally begins after account review and may require 10-15 business days.

Standard-Term Refund Schedule

Short-term and compressed courses may use different dates. Students should confirm the deadline shown with the registered course.
